Privacy notice
Who is responsible
quibscrewhangout.lol is an independent information website about planning automation work in small and medium-sized enterprises. The controller for any personal data processed in connection with the site is the site's administrator, who can be reached via the contact page.
What the site does not collect
The site has no user accounts, no log-in, no payments and no newsletter. It does not accept form submissions. It does not use analytics services, advertising networks, social media plug-ins or tracking pixels, and it does not set cookies or use browser storage. Pages are static files delivered to your browser.
This does not mean that no personal data is ever processed. Delivering a web page over the internet involves some technical data, as explained below.
The contact drafting tool
The contact page includes a tool that helps you draft a note about the site's content. It runs entirely in your browser's memory. The text you type is not transmitted to the site or to anyone else, and it is not saved: it disappears when you reset the form, close the tab or leave the page. Nothing leaves your device unless you choose to copy the draft or download it as a text file and then share it yourself. Please do not include personal details in a draft; they are not needed.
Hosting and technical logs
Like any website, the site is served by a hosting provider. When your browser requests a page, the hosting service may automatically record technical information in access logs, such as your IP address, the date and time of the request, the page requested, your browser type and the referring page. Such logs are typically used to keep the service secure and working. They are not used by the site to build profiles of visitors or for marketing.
If you send an email
If you choose to email the address shown in the footer, the message and your email address will be received by the site's administrator and used only to consider the note you sent. Please send only what is needed to describe the issue with the site's content.
External links
Where the site links to other websites, those sites are run independently and have their own privacy practices. Once you follow a link, this notice no longer applies, and you should read the privacy information of the site you are visiting.
Your rights
Under data protection law, including UK GDPR where it applies, you generally have rights to be informed about the use of your personal data, to access it, to have inaccurate data corrected, to request erasure, to restrict or object to certain processing and, in some cases, to data portability. To exercise these rights in relation to this site, use the contact page. You also have the right to complain to the competent data protection authority. In the United Kingdom this is the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). You may also complain to the authority in the country where you live or work.
Changes to this notice
If the way the site works changes — for example, if a new feature that processes personal data is added — this notice will be updated before that change takes effect, so that it continues to describe the site as it is actually built.
