Why the ledger approach
What is covered and why
quibscrewhangout.lol covers the planning side of automation consulting for small and medium-sized enterprises: how work is recorded, how an engagement is bounded, how delivery is accepted and how ownership continues afterwards. Much writing on automation concentrates on tools. The decisions around those tools — who agreed what, on what evidence, and who answers for the result — get less attention, yet they are what an owner-manager is left holding. A ledger, where each entry is dated, attributed and checkable, is a fitting model for that record.
Who it is written for
The intended reader runs or manages a smaller organisation, signs off spending and needs to explain decisions to colleagues, an accountant or an auditor. No technical background is assumed. Methods such as SIPOC, BPMN, RACI and PDCA are explained where they appear, along with the public frameworks — ICO guidance, UK GDPR and the NIST risk-management publications — that shape good practice.

How the material was put together
Everything here is general, evergreen information written for this site, drawing on long-established methods and publicly available frameworks. Examples are generic and illustrative; they do not describe any real firm or engagement. The site is not a news service and does not track changes to platforms, prices or regulation as they happen, so the relevant official source should be checked for anything time-sensitive.
What the site does not do
- It does not offer consulting, recommend suppliers or rank products.
- It does not give legal, financial, tax or data protection advice for any specific situation.
- It does not estimate savings or returns from automation.
- It does not collect submissions; the contact tool only prepares text on your device.
Accessibility
The site is built to be usable with a keyboard alone, with a skip link and a visible focus outline on every interactive element. Text and background colours are chosen for readable contrast, body text is set at a comfortable size, and animation is switched off for visitors who ask their system to reduce motion. All content remains available without JavaScript. No formal conformance level is claimed. If something is hard to use, please describe it through the contact page.
